Students will generally use the same computer each time they come to the media center. Students' computers correspond with their classroom number.
No food or drink is allowed in the media center unless a medical reason exists. This includes water bottles and gum. Please note: the media center is air-conditioned, so it does not get unduly warm.
Students may not change any settings on any school computer. This includes changing/rearranging icons, changing desktop background pictures, moving the dock from the bottom of the screen, changing the white on black option, turning on text to speech, etc.
If any damage occurs to a computer while the student is using it, he or she should report the damage immediately to Mrs. Creek or any teacher. We will send the computer for repair to our technology department. Most repairs are minor and can easily be remedied.
Students may not change settings on iPads unless directed to do so by a teacher or by Mrs. Creek.
Website/Web 2.0 Policies
Ludwig School is lucky enough to be able to offer several free and paid subscriptions to students. The websites we use for instruction include:
Using these sites is a privilege and students are expected to adhere to District 92's Acceptable Use Policy when using Ludwig's Web 2.0 subscriptions, even when not at school.
Please be aware that many "popular" sites, including Instagram, Facebook, Vine, and Snapchat, require users to be at least 13 years old in order to have an account. Ludwig Students should not use any sites that have age restrictions.
